Apple has just announced its all-new phones, the iPhone 17 series. That's three refreshed versions of existing models and the all-new iPhone Air, that replaces the Plus. If camping out on release day isn't your style, but you still need to grab one right away, you will be able to pre-order the iPhone 17, 17 Pro Max, 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Air from 10pm AEST on September 12, before the September 19th release date.

The iPhone 17 features a new design with a slightly larger 6.3-inch display and thinner borders. And after a long wait (and a ton of grumbling), the base iPhone 17 finally includes a 120Hz refresh rate.

Inside, Apple’s new A19 chip is faster and more energy-efficient, particularly when combined with Apple Intelligence. If you're upgrading from an older iPhone, you'll experience a massive jump in speed and better gaming performance courtesy of ProMotion.
On the camera front, you will find a 48MP Fusion main camera (shooting 24MP photos by default) and also a 2x telephoto lens. The ultra-wide camera also gets an upgrade to 48MP, making macro photography crisper and much more impressive.

Colour Choices For The iPhone 17

The iPhone 17 will come in six colourways: black, white, steel gray, light blue, green and purple.

The iPhone 17 Air is set to come in colour options such as black, white, light gold and sky blue.

The Pro and Pro Max models will be offered in three premium finishes: blue, orange and silver.
